The training is self-directed and accessible from computer or tablet, any place and anytime. Credential are issued by the State of Florida and signed by the Governor.

FAA Part 107 Aeronautical Knowledge Exam
Since the Part 107 regulations went into effect in August 2016, over 50,000 pilots have completed this training to pass the FAA’s Aeronautical Knowledge Test and become FAA-certified drone pilots.
This self-paced online training program includes 70+ video lessons that cover the 120+ concepts that the FAA has outlined in their UAS Airman Certification Standards across 5 key areas:
The Kids and Teens College instructors are qualified and credentialed in the subject areas they teach. Background check completed through the Broward College approval process.
SUMMER SESSION DATES: Four sessions are available. Each session runs for one week, Monday through Friday. Half-day and full-day programs are available.
No classes June 29- July 3, in observance of the July 4th holiday.
LENGTH OF COURSES: Please note the length of classes when registering.

HOW TO REGISTER: Online: broward.edu/youth or In person: Central Campus (Bldg. 8).
DAILY PROCEDURES: Drop off students at their classroom. Please be prompt at dismissal. If students are not picked up on time, they may be taken to the designated pick-up area (see below). A $25 charge may apply for late pick-up.
Parents, please instruct students, in advance, to speak with the campus supervisor if an emergency should occur, and you will be late to pick them up.
DISMISSAL: Students may be dismissed from a course and/or the program for non-payment of fees, behavior, and/or violation of Broward College and Kids & Teens Summer College rules and policies. No refunds will be given in the event of dismissal.
ILLNESS: Students who are ill should not attend class. Parents/guardians will be called if a student becomes ill.
CLASS CANCELLATION: Broward College Kids & Teens Summer College reserves the right to cancel courses due to low enrollment, college emergencies or other extenuating circumstances. You will be notified if this occurs and sent a complete refund within 10-15 business days.
REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS: Please note, no schedule changes or refunds are given after the first day of class.
