In 1972, Broward College‘s Institute of Public Safety (IPS) was established. Fifty years later, the proof of IPS’s achievements as a respected training center is clearly visible in the quality of the public servants that serve the State of Florida today.
Academies are certified as an FDLE/CJSTC Training Center and offer basic training and continuing education for criminal justice officers. Associate’s degrees at IPS include Criminal Justice and Fire Science Technology.
Within our multi-million dollar facility are virtual and realistic training venues for educational and professional development. Online classes, comprehensive hands-on instruction and state-of-the-art training from instructors with practical experience provide an innovative, quality workforce education for all.
