The Institute of Public Safety (IPS) Testing Center administers examinations for applicants pursuing careers in Law Enforcement, Corrections and Police Service Aide positions in cooperation with the Broward County Chiefs of Police Association.
The Institute of Public Safety (IPS) Criminal Justice Testing Center located at Broward College Central Campus is a regional assessment center serving applicants pursuing a law enforcement or corrections career.
The IPS Testing Center is not a hiring agency. We are a regional selection center for those who wish to apply in law enforcement or corrections. Tests administered at IPS comply with the State of Florida's Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC) and the Broward County Chiefs of Police Association standards.
How to get started in your Law Enforcement career:
It is the applicant's responsibilty to maintain their Medical Clearance Forms, as the Testing Center does not make copies. A COPY of the form is required for EACH attempt of the PAT, PAT Practice and SWIM.
CJBAT tests results prior to August 2018, can be found on the ATMS FDLE site. Applicants are not to contact the FDLE for test results.

The Medical Clearance Form is valid 6 months from date of medical examination. Invalid or expired forms will not be accpeted.

I missed my test, how can I reschedule?
To reschedule follow these steps: Access your account, select a new date, select confirm schedule, DO NOT pay again, close the screen and send an email with your name, DOB, test name and new test date. We will handle the rest!
Where can I find my CJBAT/BAT test results?
CJBAT/BAT test results are available at the FDLE ATMS site: https://atms.fdle.state.fl.us/atms/officerProfile.jsf

Where can I find my PAT or SWIM test results?
Applicants will retireve their test results from their IPS account, under the view my results tab.
I took the SWIM test over ten years ago, where can I find those results?
Send an email to member of the IPS Testing team, be sure to include name, DOB and test.
I can't seem to login, should I create another account? Creating a new account will not aid in retrieving your information. Send an email to a member of the IPS team. Be sure to include your name, DOB and reason for emailing.

Where can I find the Medical Clearance Form?
The Medical Clearance Form is available in the Information Booklet, as well is one of the horizontal tabs above.
Where can I find a physician?
Applicants may choose any licensed physiciam; MD, DO or by the following medical professionals ARNP, PA, or PA-C. Chiropracters are not accepted. The FDLE 75 and FDLE 75B forms are no longer accepted.
How long is the form valid?
The Medical Clearance Form is valid 6 months from the date of medical examination.
Can I test with an expired Medical Clearance Form? No.
