Office Management and Medical Office Management Programs

Advanced Training for Office Leaders
Today’s office environments are more technologically advanced than ever before. More office environments depend on tech-savvy personnel to keep daily operations running smoothly.  At Broward College, we are committed to preparing you for the challenges of managing busy corporate, medical and small business environments.
The Office Programs at Broward College are varied, and includes Certificate and Associate Degree Programs. We train you to specialize in one of two administrative settings:
  • Office Management
  • Medical Office Management
Online/Classroom Experience

Office Management and Medical Office Management Programs will immerse you in today’s best office practices for any organization, whether it’s the headquarters of a national conglomerate or a small non-profit office. Hands-on training focuses on:

  • Advanced functions of accounting, spreadsheets and databases

  • Fundamentals of collecting, analyzing and summarizing financial data
  • Relevant computer programs and software, including common Microsoft Office programs

The program uses current industry software, state-of-the-art labs and resources to get you as job ready as possible. Class sizes are small and personalized with up to 25 students enrolled in each class. There is even the option to take all of your classes online if you are currently working full or part time.
All faculty use current and up-to-date materials and examples in the classroom, along with their own experiences of working in office management settings. The broad skill set we teach can be applied to any workplace.

Is This Program Right for Me?

Taking care of an office’s day-to-day business is more intensive in today’s office environments. The best candidates for this program are:

  • Organized
  • Able to multitask
  • Customer orientated
  • Able to work as part of a team
To apply to the program, you should have a high school diploma or GED.

All faculty have at least a Master’s Degree in Business, Education or a combination of the two. Our faculty attended various universities around the country including Penn State, Nova Southeastern and University of New York. All instructors have worked in business and industry, and bring real-world experience to the classroom.

Courses/Online Courses

Full-time Associate’s Degree-seeking students can expect to complete all courses for the AS tracks in two years. Completion of the certificate programs generally takes one semester.

Since our program was designed for maximum flexibility, you can choose whether to do the program completely online or on Campus.

Have you already graduated from the Office Management or Medical Office Management programs with a certificate or degree? Looking for more career advancement opportunities? Many of our graduates have gone on to pursue their Bachelor’s Degree in Supervision and Management.
