– Broward College is pleased to announce it has hired industry veteran
Don Cook to lead its marketing and communications departments as its new
Executive Director of Marketing & Strategic Communications. In this role, Cook is responsible for building the Broward College brand, creating awareness and advocacy, and enhancing the student experience.

Cook brings more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience to Broward College. He previously served as Chief Marketing Officer at Learn.com, a successful learning management systems company serving academic institutions, government agencies and Fortune 500 organizations. At Learn.com, he helped market and launch over 300 online universities. The company was acquired in 2010 by Taleo Corporation for $125 million. Most recently, he served as co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer at iCare.com, the healthcare industry's first cloud-based Electronic Health Record for healthcare facilities. Cook has also served the community as a board member of the Broward County Humane Society, and has mentored at-risk youth as a member of Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Broward County. He has a BS in Business Management from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.
In this new role, Cook will lead the department with support from recently promoted Director of Marketing, Daniela Circonciso, as well as recent new hires Lesli Cartaya Franco, Director of Communications, and Jennifer Silverio, Director of Creative and New Media.
