What is New Student Orientation?

NSO is a crucial mandatory step in getting started at Broward College and it is required for all degree-seeking students new to Broward College. Students receive communication to their personal email and text regarding the next steps from their Student Success Coach.

At the NSO session, you will

  • register for classes
  • schedule your first advising appointment
  • create your FSA ID
  • learn about the different degree programs
  • learn how to access your remote classes
  • learn about Student Support Resources

If you graduated from a public high school or have placement test scores on file, you can opt for either a virtual or on-campus orientation. However, if English is not your first language or you graduated from a non-English high school outside the US, please select the EAP Orientation.
