Waitlist

The BS in Environmental Science (BSES) program’s previous Waitlist system has been retired due to an extremely high level of interest in the courses and limited staff available to process submissions.

Please see below for the new release information and dates taking effect as of Spring 2025.

Due to the very high demand for BCH3033 Biochemistry I, PCB3023 Cellular/Molecular Biology, and PCB3063 Genetics (lecture only), the BSES program allows non-program students to access these classes.

Seats in Biochemistry will be available based on the individual student's registration date as indicated in MyBC.

Seats in Genetics lecture and Cellular/Molecular Biology will be made available after BSES program students are registered, at the days/times indicated on the table below.

PCB3063L Genetics Lab is not open to non-program students and seats will not be released.

The release dates will be as follows:

Please note that these release dates do not supersede a student’s individual registration eligibility window or override any holds that may be on a student’s account.

When the seats are released, students who meet the entry requirements will be able to self-register. Registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Students who want to take the courses must have the prerequisite coursework (shown below) on their BC transcripts so that the registration system can recognize that they meet the entry requirements. Transient, non-degree, and/or transfer students whose BC transcripts do not show the prerequisite coursework must consult with the Advising and/or Admissions Offices to have their records updated to show these prerequisites.

Please note that the BS program staff will not be registering students or providing overrides to the course. It will be up to the students to make sure their accounts are clear to register and that all entry requirements are met. Please do not contact professors for entry into the course.
