Broward College offers a money-back guarantee for our Associate of Science Degrees in Nursing, Respiratory Care, and Aviation Maintenance Management.

Students may be eligible for a refund of tuition if they have actively, and in good faith, sought employment in the occupation in which they were trained for the six (6) months following successful completion of the workforce program and have been unable to obtain employment in that occupation within the six (6) months.

To be eligible for a refund of tuition, a student must meet the following criteria:

  • After completing the eligible workforce program, the student cannot be enrolled in an upper-level stackable program.
  • The student must have a record of at least four (4) engagements with Employment Solutions including:
    • One (1) documented appointment with a Career Coach to confirm major/career goal while enrolled in their program before graduation
    • One (1) mock interview completed while enrolled in their program or within a month after graduation
    • One (1) documented appointment with the Career Placement Specialist representing their academic pathway for employment assistance in the last semester of enrollment or within a month after graduation
    • One (1) documented attendance at an industry-related career fair within the last two semesters of enrollment or a month after graduation.
  • The student must have an approved resume on the Broward College online Job Board.
  • The student must provide evidence of 100 job applications related to the occupation(s) associated with their program of study. The student (excluding health science majors) must have participated in at least one (1) work-based learning experience such as a paid internship, internship for college credit, or work-study while enrolled in their program. Health Science programs require clinical and practicums for work-based learning.
  • The student must have earned a Florida Ready to Work Soft Skills credential while enrolled in their program or within a month after graduation.
  • The student must provide evidence of completing at least 20 good faith interviews for jobs related to their program of study (e.g., documents such as an email or letter of invitation to interview, confirmation of non-selection, etc.)
  • The student must be legally eligible for employment in the US.
  • The student must be in good financial standing with Broward College.
  • The student must have completed the eligible program(s) with at least a 2.0 GPA or earned a 'C' or better in all program course requirements.
  • The student must have passed all state and/or industry employment certification(s) required. (Note: Specific industry certifications/licensures will be listed next to the programs we select.)

Note: Students who secure employment within six (6) months of completing this workforce program, regardless of the job, are not eligible for a tuition refund. Students who are offered employment in the occupation in which they were trained within six (6) months of successful completion of the workforce program but who do not accept the employment offer or who are not ultimately hired for any reason, including the inability to pass an employer's background check, are also not eligible for a tuition refund.

To be eligible for a tuition refund under the Money Back Guarantee (MBG) program, you must submit your claim to Broward College within one (1) year of completing the workforce program. Claims received after this deadline will not be considered.
