New Scholarship Opportunities for Broward Students!

Broward Scholars Program

  • Broward graduates (A.A. or A.S.) with a 3.0 or higher may apply for this competitive $10,000 total scholarship package.
    • Recommendations from Broward Center advisors will be considered.
    • Two students maximum per Center per year will be selected as Broward Scholars.
    • This scholarship can supplement any other scholarship awarded to the student for up to a total of $10,000 per year inclusive of all UK scholarships.
      • Example 1: A student awarded a $4,000 Transfer Achievement Award would receive an additional $6,000 per year if chosen as a Broward Scholar.
      • Example 2: A student awarded a $12,000 International Ambassador Scholarship would receive no additional funds.
      • Example 3:  A student awarded no other university funded scholarship would receive $10,000 per year as a Broward Scholar.
    • Scholarship is for two years, provided student remains in good standing. This scholarship does not apply to Summer tuition.


Broward Visiting Student Scholarship

  • Broward students visiting UK as undergraduate students qualify for a scholarship of $7,500 per semester (Fall/Spring only), as long as 100% of the student's courses are taken in the College of Arts & Sciences (A&S).
  • This discount will be prorated if students take courses outside of A&S.
    • Example 1: A student taking 12 credits in A&S and 3 credits in the College of Fine Arts would receive a scholarship of $6,000 (80%).
    • Example 2: A student taking 9 credits in A&S and 6 credits in the College of Engineering would receive a scholarship of $4,500 (60%).
  • Scholarship may be renewed for a second semester (Fall/Spring only), provided student remains in good standing.
