France

Comparative Education in France and the USA

Program

With this BC faculty-led study abroad program, students will have an amazing opportunity to travel to the country of France. France is THE most visited country in the world and for good reason. Its culture, architecture, fashion, and cuisine are all globally renowned. Students will be immersed in the French language and culture. Students will visit iconic sites like the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, The Arch of Triumph, Notre Dame, and the Palace of Versailles. The program is designed to expose students to the French K-12 educational system and its unique educational philosophies and practices. After participation in this program, a student's world viewpoint will radically change for the better, they will dip into the French/European perspective related to K-12 education through school visits, and they will analyze both the similarities and differences between the French and American educational systems. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
