Doing Business in Greece

Program

Traveling to Greece is like stepping into a sun-soaked paradise where ancient myths meet crystal-clear waters. Imagine exploring the towering ruins of the Acropolis or wandering through charming villages with blue-domed rooftops and cobblestone streets. Greece truly has something for everyone—delicious Mediterranean cuisine, stunning landscapes, and a rich culture that celebrates life and joy at every turn. Greece is more than a destination; it is a journey into the heart of history and natural beauty.

This BC faculty-led study abroad program crisscrosses the vibrant, modern landscape of this country, traveling to four different cities, exploring ancient ruins, and learning about the resilience of Greek society. In the late 2000s, Greece experienced a major economic crisis that rocked all of Europe.  The crisis triggered a severe recession and three major international bailout packages. However, with structural reforms and the spirit of Greek businesses, the country has bounced back. Our BC business faculty is eager to show students how effective businesses in Greece have helped to pull this country back from the brink of collapse into now a modern, successful European economy. This program will take students to a whole new world, giving them a true understanding of how another society lives and thrives. Greece is a country that mixes well the idea of a work/life balance with a modern structure layered on top of an ancient society. It is truly a gem and well worth the experience
