TerraCycle is an innovative recycling organization that has become a global leader in recycling hard-to-recycle waste. Since 2008, Broward College has been a nationally recognized leader and contributor to the TerraCycle program and we have collected over 2,271,305 units of waste for TerraCycle and earned over $38,000 dollars for the which we awarded to students in the form of the Michelle Lawless Scholarship.
Broward College is committed to the TerraCycle partnership, programs and initiatives and being good stewards of the environment. The direct result of our involvement reduces landfill waste, develops student leadership skills, and encourages community service and collaboration while students earn volunteer hours and points towards scholarship funds. Again, we thank you for your continued support as we work together to reduce our environmental footprint.

TerraCycle reuses, upcycles, and recycles waste instead of incinerating or landfilling it. This moves waste from a linear system to a circular one, allowing it to keep cycling in our economy.
