Broward College prides itself on being an integral part of the community. Even if you are not a student, our doors are open - if your nonprofit or community organization is seeking sponsorship, in-kind donations, or speakers for your events, all you need to do is reach out. We're here for you.
Since we first opened our doors in 1960, Broward College has firmly stood by its mission to provide a high-quality education that is affordable and accessible to all. During these last 60+ years, we have also considered ourselves a partner in the community, as we have always believed that together we can make our county a better place through education and community service. Learn about our past partnership efforts.
Each year, Broward College supports a select number of local non-profit organizations that share similar goals and objectives as outlined in its strategic vision under the Social Enterprise Plan. The plan, with ambitions that far outpace traditional limitations of time and resources, is designed to be responsive to the needs of our community and structured around three “Big Bets” to Guarantee Access to Higher Education, Empower Student Development, and Create Impactful Career Connections.
As Broward College continues its search for a new president, we have decided to pause our sponsorship for the 2024-2025 academic year. We appreciate your understanding during this transition period and look forward to partnering with you in other areas, including in-kind support and speaker engagements.
As we streamline our processes we know there will be some questions and we are here to answer those for you.
Another way Broward College provides support to nonprofits and community organizations is through in-kind, non-cash donations. As with sponsorship, Broward College will give priority to organizations that align with our three "Big Bets" to Guarantee Access to Higher Education, Empower Student Development, and Create Impactful Career Connections; however, we will base the decision on the type of opportunity being requested. At least eight weeks of lead time prior to the event is required. Learn about our in-kind donation process.
Broward College can help organizations by providing in-kind donations. We welcome the applications of organizations looking for facility/event space.
Before proceeding with the application process: Please review the About Our In-kind Donations and Frequent Asked Questions tabs before starting the application process to make sure you have all the materials/information you need before applying.
Broward College reviews in-kind donation requests throughout the year. Please note that at least eight weeks of lead-time prior to your event is required.
If Broward College approves an in-kind facility/event space, we ask that the organization recognize Broward College as the host sponsor for the event and allows for a faculty/staff member to briefly address/welcome event attendees.
Broward College has over 2,000 faculty and staff members who are experts in their fields of study. We have a process to ensure that if your company, nonprofit, or community organization is looking for a speaker for a keynote address, panel, or seminars/workshop, we can assist you.
