The course also covers installing and configuring operating systems, expanded security, software troubleshooting, and operational procedures.

CAE0765 - EKG Technician
This course prepares students to perform EKGs and includes basic anatomy and physiology of the heart, medical disease processes, medical terminology, medical ethics, legal aspects of patient contact, emergencies related to cardiac testing: syncope, chest pain, and abnormal vitals. Students will also learn about arrhythmias, calculating heart rates, and types of ECGs. This comprehensive course prepares students to take the Certified EKG Technician exam. Additionally, students will practice with EKG equipment and perform hands on labs including introduction to the function and proper use of the EKG machine.

This course is designed to meet the clinical experience requirements for Magnetic Resonance Imaging Certification as established by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. Students are taught the principles of magnetic resonance imaging technology and learn to operate the MRI scanner to produce cross sectional images of the patient for diagnostic purposes. This curriculum is designed to provide qualified individuals an opportunity to acquire the knowledge, attitude and skills which will enable them to become safe and competent in MRI technology and prepare the graduate for an entry-level position as an MRI technologist.

CAE0360 Nursing Assistant
Learn the overall concept of being a nursing assistant. This course provides students technical skills necessary to service complex patient personal care and medical assisting issues including the implementation of selected portions of a specific care plan that may include rehabilitation services, bedside care, collection of laboratory specimens, phlebotomy, and EKG’s.
