Audition for the BSO

The Broward Symphony is Broward College's student and volunteer orchestra in Davie, Florida. The BSO rehearses on Thursday evenings and performs four concerts between the months of October and May. The Symphony can be taken as a class through Broward College. If you are interested in auditioning for the orchestra for college credit, please contact the Visual and Performing Arts Department on the Broward College Central Campus in Davie, Building 4, Room 130, Tel: 954-201-6840 Course code: MUN1280C

If you are a new member interested in auditioning, please e-mail the music director Terence Kirchgessner at tkirchge@broward.edu. Please list your instrument and whether you are a BC student taking it for credit. Due to group size restrictions, space is limited.

Audition Requirements

Applicants should submit a video via email (or link to a video) of two contrasting works (fast/slow) that represent your highest level of performance. Your selections should be no longer than 5 minutes in length.

You may be asked to audition in person at a later date.
