The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program prepares non-native speakers of English for academic study in certificate and degree programs at U.S. colleges and universities. The program consists of ten courses in three skill areas: Grammar and Writing; Listening and Speaking; and Reading and Vocabulary.
The EAP program provides English learners with the opportunity to improve their language skills that prepare them for college-level coursework, university transfer, and professional careers. Upon successful completion of the EAP program, students can enroll in academic courses at Broward College and other Florida state colleges without the need for TOEFL or IELTS scores.
