What is a QEP?

The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a five-year plan to improve student learning outcomes and/or student success across the college and includes input from students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other members of the college community.

QEP Requirements

Under SACSCOC Standard 7.2, the College is required to create a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) as part of its reaffirmation efforts. This plan is designed through ongoing, thorough evaluations and planning at the institution, highlighting the College’s dedication to strengthening overall quality and effectiveness by addressing a priority area for improving student learning and/or success.

The QEP proposal outlines a five-year project aimed at advancing student learning or achievement, complete with specific goals, measurable outcomes, a comprehensive assessment approach, a detailed implementation strategy, and an allocated budget. Data analysis plays a crucial role in developing, implementing, and assessing the QEP to ensure alignment with the project’s objectives. At the conclusion of the five years, the College will submit a QEP Impact Report as part of its Fifth-Year Interim Report.

Broward Colleges’ QEP was approved in October 2023 by SACSCOC.
